MEMENTO MORI SAL - BLACKWORK EMBROIDERY VICTORIAN GOTHIC COLOUR

You are purchasing a digital PDF pattern, not a finished embroidery piece.
Remember you must die. The Guild recommends stitching it instead of worrying about it.
Memento Mori is the world's first full coverage colour blackwork design. Not the first at Urban Stitches. The first anywhere. The technique required to render photographic tonal detail into the counted geometric language of colour blackwork did not exist before Urban Stitches created it for this SAL. The original painting is Pieter Claesz's Still Life with a Skull and a Writing Quill (1628), and it is beautifully, correctly, unambiguously about death.
Upon purchase you will receive a file containing your login details for the dedicated SAL page. From there you can access the complete pattern in full, all individual section releases, and the full accompanying lore. Everything is available immediately.
